What Is a Wildcard Redirect?

Wildcard redirect is a specific redirect type that allows you to redirect all files within a directory to the identical filenames in the new directory or domain.

For example, if you create a wildcard redirect to redirect domain1.com to domain2.com, when a visitor tries to access domain1.com/picture.png will be redirected to domain2.com/picture.png

Wildcard redirects are very easy to create and can be done directly though your control panel. Below are the full steps required to create one:

Login to cPanel using the login information that was sent to you in your welcome email
    Access Domains >> Redirects
Fill out the required fields at the top of the screen and ensure you check the box labled "Wild Card Redirect"
    Click "Add"

Your site should now be redirecting according to the information provided in the previous steps.
